Though racing is notable and highly visible, we believe trail advocacy will be one of the most important legacies of interscholastic mountain biking. The Arizona Cycling Association, through the strong work of its teams and volunteers, is committed to provide trail maintenance, teach proper trail etiquette, protect natural resources and advocate for more outdoor recreational trails for the community. We feel that being a mountain biker and giving back to your local trail system go hand in hand.

One Piece Alliance

The One Piece Alliance is a mindful attempt at giving humanity Pac-Man sized opportunities to redeem itself. Not a program, not a campaign, not a club…if anything, it’s a proverb. Call it trail karma or an excuse to take a pause and appreciate nature. The One Piece Alliance requests that each individual pick up one piece of trash each time they go out on the trail.

Why? Because when we spend time outdoors we can accidentally leave a trace of our presence behind. Let’s not leave a bigger mess for the next trail user. Leave your mark by making things better. We’re not asking you to fill a trash bag at your local trailhead (although we wouldn’t object if you did). Just one piece.

Now…stop reading…go ride…and while you’re out there, grab one piece of trash and join the #onepiecealliance.
